La torre del futuro Parque El Libertador, en Caracas, está llamada a ser un punto de referencia, un hito, visible desde cualquier punto de la ciudad.
Y, ¿por qué se construye un hito arquitectónico?, pues para satisfacer alguna necesidad o para significar algo importante.
En este caso por ambos motivos: para poder asentar en lo alto de la Torre un mirador y un lugar de estancia al que los visitantes puedan acceder y disfrutar de una vista panorámica del Parque, de la Ciudad en su conjunto y del maravilloso territorio en que se ubica, con la cordillera del Ávila como telón de fondo.
También para significar, con su presencia, la memoria de Simón Bolívar, el Libertador, y mantener viva la llama de su ideario, recordándonos permanentemente que, si bien los seres humanos morimos, nuestros ideales cuando son valiosos, como lo son los de libertad, justicia y solidaridad, que guiaron la vida de Bolívar, siguen vivos y vigentes aun después de la muerte de quienes los enunciaron y lucharon por ellos.

The tower of the future Park of the Liberator, in Caracas, is to be a reference point, a landmark visible from any point in the city.
Why do we build architectural landmarks? To satisfy a deeply felt need or to celebrate something important.
In this case we do both. First, at the highest point of the tower, we place an overlook and a gathering place where visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the park, the entire city and the stunning area that surrounds, with the Avila mountains as a backdrop.
The tower also celebrates the memory of the liberator of South America, Simon Bolivar, and keeps the flame of his ideas alive. It will be a permanent reminder that although we human beings much perish, our idealsof liberty, justice and solidarily that guided Bolivar, persist and flourish even after the death of those who define and fight for them.
